HEY, I'M HEATHER
The Face Behind the Lens
As I watch my kids grow up, I realize how fleeting time is. Capturing memories is what I love most about my job as a photographer. A lot of people can take pretty pictures, but how well do they interact with you? I want you to have fun at your session and to feel comfortable. Whether it's family gatherings, weddings, or individual portraits, I try to bring out your personality in every shot. My photography business is all about freezing those memories into photos that will last lifetimes.
I have been a professional photographer for over a decade.
In that time I’ve had countless sessions that I have loved. It’s hard to pick a favorite one when you have taken well over a 1000 different sessions. In May of 2024, I took pictures of all the soon-to-be missionaries from Ridgeline High School - including my son, his friends, and his classmates. These are kids he has grown up with - some since kindergarten! Seeing them all together, prepared to embark on missions across the world, speaking numerous languages, and serving countless people, meant so much to me. I'm so proud to know them - and I'm extra proud my son is one of them.
Apparently I'm willing to look pretty dumb to get the shot I want.
Believe it or not, I was capturing the first photo below while sprawled out in the grass like the second photo below – skirt and all. If you've ever had a session with me at the Logan Temple, chances are you've witnessed this scene firsthand. I think that shot is totally worth it though!
I'm telling you – you blink, and your kids are all grown up. Everyone says it, but you don't really get it until it's happening to you. I’m beyond grateful for all the photos and videos I have of my kids as they’ve grown up. Photography truly is such an incredible gift!
